PERSOL Indonesia is currently hiring for Purchase Manager (Gelatin & Sweet Ingredients) to be placed in our clients

Industry : Wholesale Businesses
HO : Cikarang
Placement: Gunung Putri, Bogor

Requirement:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Food Technology, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, specifically in raw
materials or food ingredients industry (e.g. dairy, seasoning, additives, emulsifiers, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor sourcing, international purchasing, price analysis, and contract
negotiation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on market data, pricing trends, and global
supply chain developments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data visualization, modeling).
  • Familiarity with food-grade material specifications and quality assurance processes is an advantage.
  • Proven negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English; able to communicate effectively in a multicultural
and cross-border environment.
  • Able to speak in Korean language will be advantages.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
  • Hands-on experience using SAP or other ERP systems for procurement and inventory management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic market conditions.
  • Deep understanding of global import/export regulations and documentation related to food
ingredients is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
a) Vendor Sourcing & Development
  • Identify and develop relationships with qualified suppliers offering competitive pricing and consistent
quality for all categories of food ingredients.
  • Evaluate suppliers’ capabilities, reliability, capacity, and compliance with food safety standards.
  • Establish a global vendor database in collaboration with overseas sourcing hubs.

b) Market & Price Trend Analysis
  • Monitor global market trends, pricing fluctuations, and availability of food ingredients.
  • Provide regular market intelligence reports to Serveone HQ for strategic planning.

c) Negotiation & Cost Optimization
  • Lead cost negotiation and contract terms with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing, payment terms, and
delivery schedules.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising on product quality and compliance.

d) Global Import Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, including food safety, labeling, and import/export
documentation requirements.
  • Liaise with internal legal/compliance teams to mitigate risks related to cross-border procurement.

e) Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Collaborate closely with overseas sourcing hubs and internal stakeholders across logistics, R&D, quality
assurance, and finance teams.
  • Ensure timely and efficient procurement to support operational and production schedules.

f) Operational Excellence & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier contracts, pricing history, and
performance evaluations.
  • Prepare and present procurement strategy updates and reports to Serveone HQ.

g) Continuous Improvement
  • Continuously identify areas for process improvement, supplier consolidation, and long-term
procurement planning.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in food ingredients sourcing.
