Full job description
Responsible for assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen including management of profit, stock, wastage control, hygiene practices and training. Guide and direct the kitchen brigade to ensure consistency of standards and a high level of performance and presentation.
Qualification:
- Experience in a similar role for at least 1 year
- Strong culinary skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well as a part of a team
- Flexibility with scheduling
- Certification or degree from a culinary school or professional culinary training is preferred
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written communication
- Understanding of local cultures, cuisines is a plus
