Full job description
Shishi Izakaya Lounge & Nightclub Bali is seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef with strong leadership abilities and a passion for Asian fusion cuisine to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to maintain consistency and efficiency.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in accordance with recipes, presentation guidelines, and health and safety standards.
- Support in menu planning, inventory control, and cost management.
- Train, motivate, and develop junior kitchen staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality venue.
- Strong culinary background, preferably with experience in Asian or fusion cuisine.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of kitchen operations, hygiene standards, and inventory control.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
