Head of Plant Operations – Manufacturing & Supply Chain

A leading International Specialty Chemicals company with a high-performance manufacturing setup in Indonesia is seeking a seasoned Operations Leader to take full ownership of end-to-end Plant Operations.

This is a critical leadership role overseeing Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, EHS, and Operational Excellence. As the most senior leader on-site, you will be responsible for driving plant performance, cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and team engagement—while reporting directly to the HQ leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all manufacturing activities across the production facility—ensuring quality, safety, output, and compliance KPIs are achieved.
• Oversee the full Supply Chain function, including planning, warehousing, procurement, and logistics.
• Manage plant-wide operational budgets and manufacturing expenses, with a strong focus on cost control, productivity, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure strict adherence to local and international EHS standards, and drive safety culture across the site.
• Champion operational excellence and lean manufacturing practices across departments.
• Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership to cross-functional teams—including production, engineering, supply chain, and quality.
• Represent site operations to senior management at regional and global levels.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing workforce—cultivating a culture of ownership, accountability, and performance.
• Oversee inbound procurement, demand forecasting, inventory control, and outbound delivery across Southeast Asia.
• Ensure robust systems and processes to comply with quality, safety, and regulatory certifications.

Ideal Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
• 10+ years of proven leadership in managing plant operations within a process manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in cross-functional operations—manufacturing, supply chain, quality, warehouse, and EHS
• Industry background in Specialty Chemicals, Flavors, Food Ingredients,Personal Care, Cosmetics, FMCG and Consumer goods manufacturing is preferred.
• Skilled in change management, process optimization, and operational transformation initiatives.
• Strategic mindset combined with strong execution—capable of both high-level planning and hands-on leadership.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multicultural environments and engage global leadership.
